Premiere: Spring Awakening!
Lessing's Nathan the Wise on 09/25/2010 premiered in the Great House.
The first reviews:
OÖN Silvia Nagl:
designer Florian Parbs has balanced an impressive stage area with tremendous depth in the Big House. On one screen we see desert, soft oriental music swells, fire bombs fly into, Recha runs away in panic. A ghostly image strong start, with director Peter Wittenberg lets start this story. And again and again he manages images that speak louder than words Lessing: for example, that, as a Muslim burqa in the way of punishment in jacket with hood wrapped Christian crosses, in turn, met with the monk in robes. As it may dress alike, even if the ideology is another.
brilliant ensemble
Stefan Matousch is a smart, quiet, thoughtful, at times subtly jiddelnder Nathan, a rock in the various views surf, (...). Jennifer Weichert is an emotional Recha that with a convincing natural, beautiful and clear language and ordinary acts on stage. A very elegant, mafia Sultan Vasilij Sotk, Bettina Buchholz his self-confidence behind burqa concealing sister Sittah, Verena Koch scurries a curious Daja. With all the seriousness of the issue and presenting it all the more pleased to Manuel Klein, who is a fanatical templar to slapstick comic-like features. Helmut Zhuber, new to the ensemble is not a smart dervish, a significant heavy box Thomas Friar, Erich Josef Lang Wiesner a ridiculous patriarch.
Upper crown, Milli Hornegger:
It is the gospel of tolerance, which is to Lessing's "Nathan the Wise" at the Linz State Theatre sung audibly loud. No doubt about it: The piece is also more than 200 years after its premiere, red hot. (...) Very convincing, and somehow the souls of these Director: Verena Koch, Daja and Jenny Weichert as Recha. piece of info and dates
